What does your workflow usually look like?

When I come across a picture or a cut out piece I’d like to work on, I spend most of my time resourcing and searching for other photographs or textures that I’d want to use. There is no limitations on how many hours I spend in this initial stage. Simultaneously, I start editing the pictures and compositing. Some of my works get finished fairly soon but some others are stopped mid-way because of not being satisfying enough. Many times I end up learning the particular skill I need to express my art the way I want to, all while making the piece.

Do you have a particular style or technique?

My designs and collages have evolved quite a bit in this short term of my digital art exploration. I don’t want to categorize myself into a particular style or technique. Sometimes I find the outcome of the project I’m working on, heavily influenced by my Architecture background, or sometimes I end up experimenting with a retro texture and an aesthetic picture I found. I might end up settling for a particular style along the way, but till then I plan to enjoy this process of discovering new digital techniques.

What projects are you currently working on?

Yes, I’m usually working on my art projects continuously. Right now, I’m more into exploring visual themes with retro effects.

Can you provide some tips for creating digital art?

It’s very important to keep learning new techniques and tools on your chosen software for your art. I’ve been using Photoshop for seven years, but it was only after I started doing my art projects that I started to discover new possibilities and tools in the software. Many of the first projects are simply explorations until you start using the tools provided in the software to create your own unique expression.
