Free: 5 Grunge Stroke Photoshop Brushes

Using these grunge strokes is a creative (and easy) way to highlight text or use as a backdrop for people and objects. This free download provided courtesy of SparkleStockgives you 5 Photoshop brushes and PNG images. Personally, I only use the PNG images because it’s easier. But if you have the need, the Photoshop brushes are available too. There’s also a Pro version which will give you all 16 high-res brushes.

The Photoshop brushes are compatible with Photoshop CS6 and CC. You can load it simply by dragging and dropping the ABR file to Photoshop. Select the Brush tool then right-click on your document to pick the brush.

To use the PNG images, simply drag and drop it to your document in Photoshop. Set the blending mode to Multiply. Even though they’re transparent PNGs, you should do this for a smoother blending of the edges.
