Step 30
Here is the result.

Step 31
Now create a promontory on which model will post later. In this part of the work will have a little tinker with layer masks and transformation pieces hill. I liked the texture of this hill, so I did not add any other, and has done everything from a single photo. Now let’s start creating our promontory. Create a new group or clicking the icon of the group in the Layers palette and name it “promontory”.

Step 32
Now I have added a picture of the promontory. Go to File > Open or the short key Cmd /Ctrl+ O and select the image of the promontory.

Step 33
Select Quick Selection Tool (W) in toolbar and select mountain.

Step 34
Select Move Tool (V), grab a selected part of image, and drag it to the tab with our work.

Step 35
Now transform this hill press the short key Cmd /Ctrl+ T or go to Edit > Transform > Scale. Reduce its size as shown in Figure.

Now do not exert them using flip the image horizontally. Right click in the window and select Flip Horizontal or go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal.

Position the image as shown in the figure. Always make sure to smooth edge of the image does not appear in the work, and leave a little of the landscape at the bottom of the slope

Step 36
Add a layer mask to the layer with slope. Select the Brush Tool (B) on the toolbar. Set it to the following settings: Size: 100px. Hardness: 0% Opacity: 100% flow: 100%. Be sure to set the background color (the color that you will work) to black by pressing D on keyboard.
Remove the extra parts of the image as shown in Figure.

Step 37
Now duplicate this layer (the short key Cmd/Ctrl+ J).

Step 38
Flip Horizontal this fragment. Go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal. Now dip the image with break as shown in the figure. Need to part with the relief was a continuation of the first fragment.

Step 39
Highlight the layer mask. Select the Brush Tool (B) on the toolbar. Set it to the following settings: Size: 80px. Hardness: 0% Opacity: 60% flow: 100%.

Remove the extra part. Then set the brush hardness by 70% and make the edge of the cliff clearer, removing unnecessary.

I appreciate you making this tutorial. The original stocks aren’t there, but the concepts are good, and I followed most of them before changing it to my own art.

I have not been able to locate a few of the pictures I needed to download for this project. The Fjords link shows a photo that says 11 photos. I’m pretty new at this but I have no idea how to get the 11 photos. They seem to be in one photo?

Hi! I understand, but on the right side of the resource page is a great button “Download”. Click on it and save the file to your computer. Then use program to unzip photos (for example WinRAR) in the corect folder. Then locate the file of the photo with the name “IMG_0328” and place it in your work. That’s it! You can continue worked. Just the author made a presentation that be in his archive. This is an advertisement :) I checked that the archive is desired photo and he downloaded from the site. I hope I helped you.
