Step 39

Create a Gradient Map adjustment layer and pick the colors #3b1d04 and #509bf8. Change this layer mode to Soft Light 90% and on this layer mask, use a soft black with a low opacity (about 10-15%) to reduce the effect on some faces to keep the glowing effect there.

Make a Curves adjustment layer to bring more light and color to the whole scene.

Add a Vibrance adjustment layer to enhance the color of the scene. On this layer mask, paint on the model to make her less saturated.

Step 40

Create two Gradient Map adjustment layers and pick the colors #e10019 and #00601b, #ab6340 and #fae9a6.  Lower the opacity of the first layer to 20% and the mode of the second layer to Soft Light 100%.

Make a Curves adjustment layer to change the light and color of the scene a bit. The selected areas shows where to paint on the layer mask.

Step 41

Add a Color Balance adjustment layer and alter the Midtones and Highlights settings:

Make a Selective Color adjustment layer and change the Cyans values.

Create a Vibrance adjustment layer to enhance the color and light of the whole scene. On the layer mask, use a soft black brush with the opacity about 20-30% to reduce the effect on the window on the left, the arm and lower of the model's body.

Step 42

Open the light texture pack. Use the starry 4 image and place it over the canvas. Change the layer mode to Screen 100% and use a layer mask to remove the red area on the top and reduce the dot's opacity.

Step 43

Duplicate this layer and apply a Motion Blur with the folllowing settings. This step is to give some sparkling effect to the dots.

Make a group for these light layers and change the group's mode to Screen 100%. Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to change the colors of the light effect.

Step 44

Add the light 2 image to the model's area and change the mode to Screen 100%. Use Ctrl+T to change the form of the light as shown below. Add a mask to this layer to remove the part on the head and body, leaving the effect visible below the legs.

Step 45

Make a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and alter the Magentas values.

  1. This looks like a great tutorial but on my Mac with Safari every image is small (approximately half the width it's supposed to be).

  2. I love your detailed instructions, but do you have another source for the floating model where I don't have to open yet one more photo purchasing account just to practice a cool technique? It gets expensive after awhile!
