- Brush size: 35px
- Hardness: 0%
- Opacity: 25%
- Flow: 100%

Now, let’s paint!

The result of that should be similar to this:

Now that you’re done, click on this “teddy bear” and the other layers that we’ve created in this step and group them (Ctrl/Cmd + G). Name this group to “Teddy Bear”.
Step 8: Enhance the Light, Color and Impact of the Photo
Now, we will be enhancing the overall feel of our image. We will start by adjusting the image’s Brightness/Contrast. To start, click on the “Create New Fill/Adjustment layer” button.

When it opens, click on “Brightness/Contrast” and then input the following:
- Brightness: -30
- Contrast: -50
- Use Legacy: Uncheck
The result of that should be like this:

Make sure that this layer is above all the other layers and groups that we’ve created so far.
Next, we will add some bluish-yellow hue to our image, and to do that, click on the “Create New Fill/Adjustment layer” button and once it opens click on “Solid Color”.

After clicking it, the Color Picker box will open (The same box that opens when you change your brush color). t, click on the “Create New Fill/Adjustment layer” button and once it opens click on “Solid Color”.
Input the following:
- #: 00031b
After doing that you would notice that that the canvas is filled with a dark blue color. We don’t want that so we will need to change its Blending mode and Opacity.

Change the Blending mode and Opacity to the following:
- Blending Mode: Exclusion
- Opacity: 50%
Next, let’s adjust the Exposure of the image. So click on the “Create new fill/adjustment layer” button again and then click on Exposure from the menu.

Now, when its open, input the following:
- Exposure: +0.15
- Offset: 0.0000
- Gamma Correction: 1.20

Next, let’s reduce the image’s Contrast again; create a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer from “Create new fill/adjustment layer” button and when it opens, input the following:
- Brightness: 0
- Contrast: -50
- Use Legacy: Uncheck
Now, click again on the “Create new fill/adjustment layer” button and then click on Photo Filter.

When it opens, use these settings:
- Filter: Deep Blue
- Density: 25%
- Preserve Luminosity: Check

Next, let’s enhance the Hue/Saturation of the overall image. Click the following from the “Create new fill/adjustment layer” button.

When it opens, input the following:
- Edit: Master
- Hue: 0
- Saturation: +25
- Lightness: 0
The image should now be similar to this:

Step 9: Give the Image a Traditional-painting feel using Textures
In this step, we will be adding textures to give a more striking feel to our image. To start, let’s open “Paper Texture 1” by Wojtar Stock. Once open, activate the Move tool (V) and drag it to our canvas. Position it on our canvas in this manner:
